How to Retrigger an Automation?

Automation Retrigger

An automation is re-triggered when all the users did not receive the communication or it fails to send the communication to all the users. For example, a campaign is scheduled for 50K users and the communication is sent to 25K user only and to another 25K it failed to send any communication.

When you come across these kinds of scenarios, what exactly you need to do is re-trigger the campaign. There are two conditions to re-trigger a campaign:

  1. If Exception Occurred (error)
  2. If the sentCnt = 0 or sentCnt unique users

Step 1: Click on the automation that needs to be re-triggered. Get the campaign details.

Step 2: Go to https://firsthive.com/engage/automationretrigger/

Step 3: Do the followings:

  1. Click Search By Account Name and select the account from the drop-down list.
  2. Click Search By Automation Name and select the automation name from the drop-down list.
  3. Click Go.

  • Click Play | Move To Node to start the particular node which failed.
  • If you click Play, this will start the node and display a message – “Automation has been started successfully”.

Screen 2: Play

  • If you want to move a particular node, click Move To Node and select the node from the drop-down list and click Go.

This will move the user and displays a message – “User has been moved successfully”.

  • Click Play from Beginning to start all the nodes from beginning or else click Play from Node.
