Create and Analyze Roll-Ups
Roll-Up Reporting is a premium feature included in our Cloud-hosted Business plans, or it can be purchased separately for self-hosted FirstHive CDP On-Premise deployments. Learn more about all the benefits and features of Roll-Up Reporting.
When to Use a Roll-Up Site
Roll-Up Reporting allows you to aggregate data from multiple websites and apps into a single site. This helps answer questions such as:
- “How many visits happened across all my websites and apps?”
- “Which campaigns contributed the most across several of my websites?”
- “How do my various brands compare overall?”
For businesses with multiple shops (e.g., white-labels), it’s valuable to see overall ecommerce performance. Similarly, web agencies serving multiple clients can provide each client with a single aggregated view of all their digital properties.
Managing Roll-Ups
You can create Roll-Ups in the Measurables Management section the same way you would create a regular website or app.
To create a Roll-Up:
- Click on “All Measurables” in the top right.
- Click “Add a new measurable”, and a pop-up will appear.
- Select “Roll-Up” to create a Roll-Up.
- Name your Roll-Up as desired.
- Choose the websites or apps from the dropdown under “Source measurables”, or search for a term and add all matching measurables.
- Configure the currency and time zone according to your preference.
- Click “Save”.
Note: Super User access is required to create a Roll-Up.
To edit a Roll-Up later, go to Measurables > Manage, click the edit icon next to the Roll-Up, and update the configuration. You can create multiple Roll-Ups and assign as many websites or apps to each as needed.
Viewing Reports of Roll-Ups
You can view all reports for Roll-Ups just like any other website or app. To make it easier to identify Roll-Ups, they are prefixed with “[Roll-Up]” in the website selector and All Measurables Dashboard, allowing quick search and recognition.
Visits Log and Real-Time Reports
In the Visits Log and Real-Time Widget, you will see visitors across all websites and apps in a Roll-Up. To know which specific website a visit belongs to, the name of the website is displayed above the visit details.
Example:
- Roll-Up site’s Visits Log shows users across multiple websites.
- Real-time widget displays active users across the Roll-Up websites.
