Content Tracking
Content Tracking in FirstHive CDP helps you measure how effective specific pieces of content are at driving interactions on any page of your website or app. For example, you may want to know how often an ad or banner is displayed and viewed by visitors, and how often they actually engage with it. These two parts are called content impressions and content interactions. Comparing them gives you an interaction rate.
This feature goes beyond ads or banners—it helps you identify the most effective placements and variations for any type of content. Once a page loads, FirstHive CDP logs a content impression for each visible content block. A content block includes:
- Content name (e.g., My Product 1)
- Content piece (e.g., product1.jpg or Buy Product 1 now)
- Content target (e.g., http://landingpage.example.com)
When a visitor clicks on a content block, a content interaction is logged, allowing you to analyze the ratio of impressions to interactions. As visitors scroll and more blocks appear, impressions for each block are automatically recorded.
