Vertical-Specific Transactions on the Customer Profile

The transactions view on every customer profile now speaks your industry’s language: policies and premiums for insurance, investments for mutual funds, orders for retail.

The problem

Each FirstHive account runs on an industry-specific data model, such as Retail, Insurance, Mutual Funds, Airlines, Fintech, Real Estate or Loyalty. Transaction fields and the metrics that matter differ across them.

But the Purchase tab in Customer Insights was built for retail: orders, returns and discounted products. For non-retail brands it was either empty or misleading. Marketers and relationship managers had to look up policies or investments in other systems, and onboarding teams hand-built custom views for each client.

How it solves the problem

  • Reads your industry automatically: the profile’s transactions view uses your account’s active industry model to pull the right transactions, fields and metrics.
  • Industry metric packs: each industry gets the right summary cards, charts, reversal types, list columns and labels. For example, Total Premium for insurance, Total Invested for mutual funds and Total Orders for retail.
  • Adjustable without engineering: account admins can adjust field mappings and labels where their data uses custom fields.
  • Use the metrics elsewhere: transaction count, total value, last transaction date and reversals become profile attributes for Segmentation and Journeys, named the same way as on the profile.
  • Smarter summaries: Eddie summarises a customer’s transactions in the right industry terms.
  • No change for retail: retail accounts keep today’s order-based view.
