DIY Reporting Dashboard
Build your own reporting dashboards in a few guided steps, using the same trusted data fields you already use to build segments. No support ticket needed.
The problem
Customers relied on the FirstHive team to build and maintain their reporting dashboards. That didn’t scale as the customer base grew, and it produced inconsistent views that were hard to maintain across accounts. Every new report meant raising a request and waiting. Reporting requests had become a growing support load across every industry.
How it solves the problem
- A guided 4-step widget builder:
- Report type: Transactional, Behavioural, Customers or Communication, plus any industry-specific types for your account
- Data to pull in: the specific data source within that type, such as Transactions or Added to Cart
- Visualization: bar, line, pie or donut, KPI tile, table and more
- Configure: pick dimensions and metrics. You only see the inputs your chosen chart needs.
- Same fields as the Segment builder: reports use the same governed fields you use for targeting, so numbers stay consistent everywhere.
- Simple metrics: every metric is Count, Sum, Average, Min or Max of a field, just like rule modifiers in the Segment builder.
- Live as you build: widgets render with real data the moment you finish configuring them.
- Arrange freely: drag widgets to move or resize them on the canvas. Edit, duplicate or delete any widget, with undo.
- Date range filter: change the range once and every widget updates.
- Share and export: publish the dashboard, control which teammates can view or edit it, and export to PDF or CSV.
For privacy, identifiers such as email, mobile number and customer ID can’t be used as report dimensions or metrics.
